NAVI needed all 24 rounds to best G2, whilst over on the B stream Cloud9 walked all over ECSTATIC.
Natus Vincere earned a morale-boosting 13-11 win over G2 to claim a spot in the 2-0 pool at PGL Major Copenhagen, whilst Cloud9 battered ECSTATIC 13-3 to climb their way to a 1-1 record.
Natus Vincere and Cloud9 will feel their Major credentials have been boosted with their wins, the former due to the impressive way they ground out the unfavored Nuke T side against G2, the latter due to utter dominance they displayed against ECSTATIC.
G2 couldn't get a read on Natus Vincere's offense and their individuals cooled off towards the end of Nuke, whilst ECSTATIC were simply outclassed and will need to reset mentally as they fight for their tournament life moving forward.
The bout between G2 and Natus Vincere was contested on Nuke, and it began with G2 running out to an early lead off their pistol victory. Justinas "jL" Lekavicius picked up a 2k with a Nova on a force-buy to get Natus Vincere back in the half, but Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov's insane Zeus into AK 3k highlight ensured a half-time 7-5 lead for his team.
Natus Vincere were pushed to the brink on their offensive half, with the zany G2 setups seemingly catching Natus Vincere off guard, but Andrey "B1ad3" Gorodenskiy called a timeout at the right moment and allowed Natus Vincere to recover. Aleksi "Aleksib" Virolainen commanded a perfect offense from that moment forward, earning Natus Vincere a morale-boosting 13-11 victory.

Cloud9 completely blew ECSTATIC away on Overpass, the Danes simply never got going. A three-round streak of T rounds in the first half was all ECSTATIC could offer as Sergey "Ax1Le" Rykhtorov and Abay "HObbit" Khassenov ran riot, before Ilya "Perfecto" Zalutskiy drove Cloud9's offense to a quick and easy victory.
