FORZE bench roster, r3salt joins Aurora

The Russian organization has benched its entire roster.

FORZE have announced the benching of Aleksandr "⁠shalfey⁠" Marenov, Andrey "⁠tN1R⁠" Tatarinovich, Erkhan "⁠gokushima⁠" Bagynanov, and Ivan "⁠SELLTER⁠" Miroshnikov, and the sale of Evgeny "⁠r3salt⁠" Frolov to Aurora. The organization also stated that they have begun filling the roster for the upcoming season and that more updates will follow in due course.

The news comes after a lackluster 2024 for FORZE, who have languished outside the top 30 in the world rankings after starting the year in 26th spot. They have recently qualified for Skyesports Masters 2024 after a grand final win over Aurora, though, with their participation at the event now under question.

The move ends shalfey's long stint in the organization, with the 21-year-old spending almost two and a half years under the FORZE moniker. He attended the PGL Antwerp and BLAST.tv Paris Majors during his tenure, where his FORZE teams ended their participation in the Challengers Stage.

r3salt, who was FORZE's second longest-standing member, signs for Aurora to complete their rebuild that began after the team failed to make it to the RMR. The 19-year-old joins as a permanent replacement for SELLTER, with Andrey "⁠BELCHONOKK⁠" Yasinskiy ending his stand-in stint with the team as a result.

After r3salt's signing, Aurora is now:

I just checked the ruleset PDF and it said that if it came from a regional qualifier then it would go to the ESL ranking (which would probably go to Spirit) but if its from a challenger league spot then it prioritizes the next best challenger team from the season (and Forze qualified through Challenger league) Makes sense I suppose since the challenger teams fought that entire season for it source: page 8 of the ESL pro tour CS replacement rules pdf on their site it also says that if the next best team doesn't accept it could also be given to the ESL ranking so who knows how it turns out, its between those two teams anyway
