FaZe made it to the final match of the lower bracket with a victory over Cloud9 in two maps (Overpass, 13-4, Nuke 13-11), while FlyQuest did the same to Nemiga on the B stream (Anubis 16-14, Inferno 16-13).

FaZe are the heavy favorites going into this final lower bracket match after getting their ego bruised by an in-form Astralis in the upper bracket. The international squad have made six finals at their last six events and will be gunning for the chance to make it one more time at the Wuliangye Chengdu Performing Arts Centre in China.
The series between FaZe and Cloud9 was fairly straightforward. Filip "NEO" Kubski's men took advantage of the CT-sidedness of Overpass and stole it away from their Russian rivals one-sidedly, while they were made to work for their money on Nuke. Winning all four of the pistol rounds in the series went a long way, alongside some crucial multi-kill rounds on the CT side of Nuke by Finn "karrigan" Andersen to tip the scales in his team's favor.

Over on the B stream FlyQuest also won 2-0, but it took Christopher "dexter" Nong and his men two trips to overtime in order to close out procedures.
The Australian squad's elimination match against Nemiga saw a similar tale play out across the two maps in the series, as they secured confident leads in the first half of each map that were quickly whittled away by the Russian side in the latter half.
Both Anubis and Inferno required overtime to decide who would prevail, but FlyQuest ultimately emerged victorious thanks to individual heroics from dexter and Joshua "INS" Potter on the first and second maps, respectively.
