OG and Aurora set to clash for Skyesports Masters title
OG completed the lower bracket gauntlet and are set to face off in a rematch against Aurora for the $105,000 grand prize.

After notching a win over BetBoom in the event's consolidation final, OG have secured a place in the grand final of Skyesports Masters against Russian side Aurora after an arduous run through the lower half of the event.
These wins are no doubt a welcome sign in the OG camp, particularly ahead of their upcoming outing in Global Esports Tour Rio, as the team has struggled to find much headway throughout 2024 after overhauling their lineup at the beginning of the year.

In addition to their win over BetBoom, OG also previously secured wins in this event over the new-look BIG, Ninjas in Pyjamas, and ENCE while on the brink of elimination. OG, utilizing stand-in Mădălin-Andrei "MoDo" Mirea in place of the now-benched Iulian "regali" Harjău, were initially sent to the lower bracket in the first place by Aurora, with the grand final now seeing the two sides face off once again since the Russian side's quick 2-0 victory in their opening match.

OG kicked off their match against BetBoom in confident fashion, racing ahead to a 9-3 start on the Russian side's pick of Mirage thanks to contributions from Nils "k1to" Gruhne and MoDo. After notching the T-side pistol round, k1to's troops quickly mopped up the map 13-3.
OG's pick of Vertigo proved to be a far closer affair, as the European side encountered a hefty deficit despite locking down the first pistol round, as Vladislav "nafany" Gorshkov's squad rebounded with a streak of eight rounds in a row to guarantee a lead heading into the second half. Although OG rebounded off the back of another pistol win, BetBoom soon stabilized on the defense, edging out OG for their map pick 13-11.
Despite the close loss, OG returned to their winning ways on the decider of Ancient. Although BetBoom emerged with an early lead off the back of the CT pistol, OG dominated for much of the rest of the game. In the end, BetBoom managed to procure just four rounds in the decider, allowing OG to lock down the map with ease while securing their rematch against Aurora in the final.
