Dorian "xertioN" Berman graciously gave Anastasija "Heccu" Tolmačeva an on-stream interview after losing the IEM Chengdu grand final to FaZe, and he gave his thoughts on why MOUZ weren't able to take the win.
On matchup with FaZe: I think that they play really well and play a style that is difficult for us to handle, that's the truth. We need to figure out a way to communicate against them more and find gaps. It's hard to say now what we should have done better, but it's just disappointing.
On FaZe's Nuke dominance: I think it's a very individual map where you need five players that can react well to situations, both on T and CT side. I think that they play really well indiovidually and they are really smart players, so it is easier for them than other teams in my opinions. They have an edge on that map over any other team because they have players who are reliable in all positions.

FaZe are inevitable.
MOUZ were never really at the races in that series, they had poor starts to both maps and didn't have enough about them to recover in either instance.
FaZe also dominated both maps in terms of opening kills, which was a serious issue that MOUZ could never rectify.
Another underwhelming stage showing for the young MOUZ side, they clearly have more to work on in that department, but on the other side of the equation, FaZe have finally broken their streak of losing in grand finals.

And MOUZ have immediately undone their Deagle win by losing to a force-buy immediately after...
MOUZ are fortunate that Jimi "Jimpphat" Salo and Ádám "torzsi" Torzsás got something done towards the end of that half, because otherwise this map was done.
FaZe were just too accomplished on their T side, and Ludvig "Brollan" Brolin and Dorian "xertioN" Berman are struggling right now for MOUZ.
Have MOUZ left themselves enough runway for a potential comeback?
Ádám "torzsi" Torzsás needs to have more rounds like that, he has been missing far too many shots thus far on Nuke.
Unfortunately for MOUZ, a scrambling and hectic force-buy was the closest they have got to a round win on their CT side thus far.
FaZe are showing why they are so good on this map, they move across Nuke like a well-oiled machine, their potent utility and intelligent movements simply too much to handle.
MOUZ simply couldn't buy an opening frag throughout that map, they went 6:17 in opening kills, and the problem was particularly apparent on their T side.
Kamil "siuhy" Szkaradek and co. warmed into the map on the easier CT side, but they had too much of a mountain to climb. A couple of straightforward executes, one on A and one on B, got the job done for FaZe.
Helvijs "broky" Saukants was the man of the hour for FaZe, he was immense in the first half, whilst it was a fairly even battle across the rest of the server.
FaZe's comfort map of Nuke up next.

FaZe are starting to look very beatable, MOUZ's quiet players have woken up and are performing well, particularly in late-round scenarios.
FaZe can't afford to give up favorable situations, which they have a couple of times now.
