TheMongolz qualify for Esports World Cup 2024
bLitz's men narrowly prevailed in the Asia qualifier to secure a spot at the event in Saudi Arabia.

The MongolZ have earned a spot at Esports World Cup through the Asia closed qualifier, barely scraping past Rare Atom in the four-team, double-elimination bracket's grand final with 13-5 and 16-12 wins on Ancient and Inferno, respectively, on either side of a 16-19 defeat on Mirage.
The No. 20-ranked team, fresh from their run at the Copenhagen Major where they earned Asia a third spot for Shanghai by making the Elimination Stage, continues to be the name to beat in the region.
Instead of being challenged by perennial rivals Lynn Vision, however, it was the recently-announced Rare Atom roster that offered the stiffest competition against Garidmagnai "bLitz" Byambasuren's troops.

The MongolZ barely survived their opening match of the qualifier against the Chinese team, recovering from a blowout on Ancient with narrow 13-11 and 16-12 wins on Inferno to advance in the upper bracket.
The Mongolian team then reinstilled some confidence by battering TYLOO 13-0 on Nuke before securing a triple-overtime win on Mirage to make the grand final, where they again met Rare Atom after HaoWen "somebody" Xu and company tore past Lynn Vision and TYLOO in the lower bracket to earn a rematch.
The veto unfolded the exact same as the teams' earlier meeting in the qualifier, but this time The MongolZ drew first blood by stealing away Rare Atom's Ancient pick in dominant fashion, 13-5.
The Chinese team replied by narrowly snatching The MongolZ's pick of Mirage in overtime, 19-17, but couldn't convert multiple advantages on the Inferno decider as bLitz powered his team through a recovery effort from 6-9, 8-11, and 11-12 deficits to scrape together a win in overtime to earn their spot in Riyadh.
