Media: coldzera set to join RED Canids

The Brazilian veteran has found a new team just weeks following his departure from Legacy.

Marcelo "⁠coldzera⁠" David has agreed to join RED Canids and the move will be made official in the coming days, according to reports from Dust2.com.br and The Clutch.

The 29-year-old wasted no time to find a new team after coming to a mutual agreement to end a two-year stint with the core of Brazilian side Legacy late last month.

In RED Canids, coldzera will replace Lucas "⁠destiny⁠" Bullo, who was benched from the team in late March following their failure in the Americas RMR for PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen.

According to the report, the RED Canids organization wanted to bolster the team with an experienced player to help them qualify for the Perfect World Shanghai Major, taking place in December.

coldzera was reportedly one of three options to fill the last spot on the roster, along with another veteran, Ricardo "⁠boltz⁠" Prass, and the far less experienced Sharks benched AWPer, Victor "⁠gafolo⁠" Andrade.

RED Canids' roster will look as follows following the addition of coldzera:

There is a legacy vlog after the major where he says he wouldn't mind moving to NA for a season, and him, the team + management discussed how things would be in NA. Maybe legacy plans were longer than that and he changed his mind or something, but it felt very abrupt. He had a lawyer draft his twitter post saying he left the org.

It's just a little suffix people throw at the end of words/names to give it some intensity. it's very informal btw. It's meaning should be like saying "Hungri-er" instead of hungry, or "Thirst-ful" instead of Thirsty. Cold is prolly the reason bigu and venom use the zera on their names though. I like it, this red canids line is scarier than some might think, dav1deus is a monster, hardzao one of the best anchors in br scene, venomzera a great prospect, nython is an ok awper and IGL, but tbf it's not like our region really have many good options for those roles... I'd say people in BRAZIL are sleeping on this roster. Even thou nython isn't an excellent player they will cause some damage in br scene that is for sure. During the last month playing with their coach they were already pushing mibr, pain and imperial to their limits in almost every bo3. Venzomera and Dav1d are the real deal when it comes to firepower. Then, you have one of the best anchor player in br scene: hardzao. Cold might be the piece they need to get the step up and become a really treat/contender in our scene for the further spots.
