BetBoom Dacha Belgrade and IEM Dallas to feature new map pool

Dust2 will replace Overpass in the Serbian tournament taking place in mid-May and in ESL competitions from May 27.

ESL has announced that its ESL Pro Tour, ESL Impact, and ESEA League competitions will feature the new Active Duty map pool from May 27.

This means that IEM Dallas, which kicks off on that date, will be the tournament organizer's first big event with Dust2 in the map pool instead of Overpass following Valve's change of the Active Duty rotation earlier this month.

Another tier-one tournament, BetBoom Dacha Belgrade, will take place before IEM Dallas with teams such as Spirit and MOUZ in attendance. The organizers have told HLTV that the $500,000 event will also use the new map pool.

The same goes for Impact League's Season 5 Finals, which start on May 31 and run as part of the same festival as IEM Dallas.

Dust2 replaces Overpass in map pool; Inferno gets changes in big post-Major update

An ESL representative previously stated that a mid-ESL Pro League map pool update was not being considered, but it was yet to be seen when the change would come into effect after the competition taking place in Malta ends on May 12.

The level of play still isn't good just because Spirit and Mouz are in the tournament, those 2 are deciding which one will lift the trophy (Spirit will) Falcons is a failed project and C9 doesn't have a team. Heroic is a team still figuring out what they are, they look good one day and lose to shitters the other like in the major. Giving out 300k for the winner is just Spirit farming Valve ranking for winning prize pools instead of playing against other T1 teams.
