Vitality 11-3 FaZe

ropz finally woke up after starting the match 0-7 to give FaZe another round towards the end of the half, and a 2v3 pistol win starring broky Dualies gave them a way in, but ZywOo has shut the door in their faces once again.

Nice try, a very nice try. Finn "⁠karrigan⁠" Andersen's had some great rounds at EPL and that could well have been another.

Vitality 5-1 FaZe

No question marks over ZywOo's form right now. He dominated against lower-ranked teams in the groups and has kicked off the FaZe match 9-1 six rounds in — and the death is to a bomb.

Dan "⁠apEX⁠" Madesclaire & co. flew through Group B without losing a map and their reward is a matchup against the world's No. 1 team, FaZe.

It hasn't been pretty so far for FaZe, but we all know they don't need pretty to go far. It seems they're growing into the tournament as always and have taken revenge for their Major final nightmare, while Vitality have yet to face a top team at the tournament and could come in rusty.

Astralis 12-7 Liquid

Astralis 8-7 Liquid

Astralis put together a late surge in the first half to keep the score close, and now they've put together a streak early on their CT side to take control of this map.

Astralis 1-3 Liquid

Liquid grabbed a force-buy win after losing the pistol on their CT side but seemed in a little trouble in the third round against Astralis force-buy reply, only for Russel "⁠Twistzz⁠" Van Dulken to step up and bail them out.

Astralis 13-9 Liquid

Liquid won the first half 7-5 but could have nabbed a bigger score line if not for some mistakes. Then they recovered from a lost pistol to take control of the second half, only to push down middle into pistols and squander their advantage.

Astralis needed no further invitation to pile on the pressure, their perfect reads of Liquid's defense ensuring victory.

Mareks "⁠YEKINDAR⁠" Gaļinskis had a bit of a stinker, but Liquid lost that map due to macro issues rather than any one player.

Astralis 9-9 Liquid

An atrocious call from Liquid to push down middle against upgraded pistols has bitten them on the ass.

They lost two trying to push aggro, Felipe "⁠skullz⁠" Medeiros nearly saved the round, but Jakob "⁠jabbi⁠" Nygaard came up big with his Deagle to keep this map in the balance.

Liquid had just put themselves in a good spot too, winning a near-flawless A hold, so that mistake hurts even more.

Liquid 7-5 Astralis

A late recovery sees Astralis snatch the final two rounds of the half and get the deficit down to just two. Liquid will be confident heading into the CT side, but can they close it out?

Liquid 4-2 Astralis

This one has three maps written all over it. Astralis have played Inferno only twice with their new iteration, the same number of times that Liquid have played Overpass in the last three months.

Ancient, the decider, is a strong map for both teams.

One of the top storylines of the day revolves around Casper "⁠cadiaN⁠" Møller taking on Martin "⁠stavn⁠" Lund and Jakob "⁠jabbi⁠" Nygaard for the first time since the duo called for his removal from HEROIC at the end of 2023.

HEROIC benched the Danish AWPer, but stavn and jabbi still stepped down from the team amid interest from Astralis, the organization they would end up joining weeks later.

In a recent interview with HLTV, cadiaN said that this new-look Astralis, captained by Nicolai "⁠device⁠" Reedtz, is "definitely trying to play a bit more HEROIC Counter-Strike."

Mathieu "⁠Maniac⁠" Quiquerez said that Vitality's players will need to keep their cool at all times against FaZe to prevent a repeat of the Major loss, pointing to the incredible decisive-making in tense situations from Finn "⁠karrigan⁠" Andersen's men.

"Vitality need calm above all else," the Swiss analyst said.

We all know how FaZe tend to shift into a higher gear once they get into playoff mode. They set aside Monte and Natus Vincere in the first two rounds of the bracket, and now have their sights set on Vitality, who qualified for the playoffs almost two weeks ago.

The last time the two teams faced each other was in the Copenhagen Major's semi-finals, where FaZe picked up a 2-1 win. It was a rather disappointing event from Mathieu "⁠ZywOo⁠" Herbaut, by his lofty standards, as he averaged just a 1.14 rating.

The French AWPer seems to be back to his best, averaging a sensational 1.72 rating in Vitality's group stage wins over Sharks, BetBoom and The MongolZ. Will he continue his fine run of form against a 'buffed' FaZe?

We have an exciting day ahead of us in Pro League. With Complexity and MOUZ already through to the semi-finals, only two places in the next stage remain up for grabs.

The first quarter-final of the day will pit Astralis against Liquid. It will be the first time that Casper "⁠cadiaN⁠" Møller will meet Martin "⁠stavn⁠" Lund and Jakob "⁠jabbi⁠" Nygaard since the split in the HEROIC camp at the end of last year.

The other match will see FaZe take on Vitality in a rematch of the Copenhagen Major's semi-final.
