fnatic sign blameF
The Dane replaces kyuubii on the roster.

fnatic has announced the blockbuster signing of Benjamin "blameF" Bremer from Astralis, who will take the place of Can "kyuubii" Ali on the team's active roster.
blameF has sat on the sidelines since February when he was benched from Astralis following the team's failure to qualify for PGL Major Copenhagen through the Europe RMR.
At the time, he acknowledged that he "probably saw it [the benching] coming" as the team hadn't succeeded, and added he was looking to "continue playing ASAP, but as a rifler (non-IGL)."

His surprise move to fnatic reunites him with Jamie "keita" Hall, whom he previously worked alongside on Complexity from 2019-2021, and marks his return to an international roster after two-and-a-half years with Astralis.
The four-time top-20 player in the world joins the team in place of kyuubii, who had a mixture of lurker and anchor roles in contrast to the more active and star positions blameF recently occupied.
The former Astralis rifler will retain his preferred roles on fnatic, Andreas Samuelsson, CS Team Director at fnatic, confirmed in a message on the organization's community Discord.
"blameF will play the star positions as a second voice, bodyy will call, and KRIMZ will play the anchor roles," Samuelsson stated.
kyuubii joined fnatic in November 2023 alongside Matúš "MATYS" Šimko and Alexandre "bodyy" Pianaro, but was the only one of the trio to join on a trial basis.
The team failed to live up to the heights once associated with the fnatic tag, however, highlighted by their failed Copenhagen Major qualifying campaign and continually illustrated by their recent group stage exit in ESL Pro League and dismal placements in online events and qualifiers.
“Bringing Benjamin into Fnatic is a significant move that indicates our ambition to return to the top echelons of competitive Counter-Strike," Ross Rooney, Esports Analysis & Strategy Manager at fnatic, said in a statement on the organization's website.
"Benjamin is a franchise-level player whose impact goes beyond just his in-game ability. This acquisition marks a significant shift from our approach over the last few years, emphasising our commitment to not only participate but return to meaningful competition.
"Benjamin's consistent top-tier performance and leadership experience offered an opportunity to energize our roster and signal our intentions to the market.“
blameF will debut in the black-and-orange jersey on Friday in CCT Global Finals, where fnatic have been placed in a group with ENCE, Gaimin Gladiators, and GamerLegion.
