PERA add bubble as head coach

The Bulgarian has found his first coaching role since transitioning away from being an active player.

PERA has announced the addition of Kamen "⁠bubble⁠" Kostadinov, who will serve as the team's head coach.

bubble thanked PERA for the opportunity in a post on X, whilst PERA stated they were "more than motivated to use bubble's experience and develop on another level."

In bubble PERA have found a coach with plenty of competitive experience as the 32-year-old has racked up 2398 career maps in the HLTV database. Only Jesper "⁠JW⁠" Wecksell, Janusz "⁠Snax⁠" Pogorzelski and Timo "⁠Spiidi⁠" Richter have more HLTV-recorded maps to their name.

The Bulgarian is best-known for his stints on Windigo, with whom he won first place and a $500,000 prize at WESG 2018 World Finals, and Fiend, who became a top 20 team in the world over the course of 2021.

After departing Fiend in 2021 bubble tried his luck in various Bulgarian teams without seeing much success, eventually joining international project Victory Zigzag. His stint with Victory Zigzag was short-lived after the team became embroiled in controversy and were disqualified from BLAST Fall Showdown 2023, which led to bubble opting to depart the team.

bubble will be hoping to help PERA kick on in tier one play, as whilst the team's success online early in 2024 granted them several opportunities in recent times, they were unable to capitalize on them.

PERA played at the Europe RMR for PGL Major Copenhagen earlier this year, but exited with a single map win to their name, and participated in ESL Pro League S19, where they were knocked out in the group stage. Their form online has also soured as of late.

PERA will need to flesh out their active roster in the near future, as Daniel-Cătălin "⁠Ciocardau⁠" Purice's short stint with the team ended after their ESL Pro League campaign. They have been playing with Kornél "⁠kory⁠" Szedlár in their recent matches.
