Sangal steal RES title from Zero Tenacity

Earlier in the event, the new NIP also made a short-lived debut with latest addition isak.

xfl0ud & co. secure their first tournament win with the current core

Sangal have claimed the trophy at the RES Regional Series 4 Europe online tournament following a 2-1 victory in the grand final against Zero Tenacity.

The Turkish-Swedish-Polish mixture stole the win from the controversial Balkan side, who have been a target of cheating accusations in recent times and during this tournament, after getting off to a horrid start on the deciding map.

The two sides had narrowly exchanged the first two maps, each winning their pick 13-11 after late efforts on Vertigo and Anubis, and it went down to Nuke.

Zero Tenacity seemed to have everything in their hands after securing a 9-3 defensive half and the second pistol, but an Linus "LNZ" Holtäng Deagle triple kickstarted a comeback and Sangal made it back into overtime off of a dominant CT side.

There, Sangal couldn't convert a match point of their own despite a Simon "yxngstxr" Boije 1v3 in the first set of extra time, but they got the job done in the second to claim the victory.

It is the first title the organization has claimed in nearly two years, and the first with this core of the team, which has just undergone two changes in as many months with the addition of Turkish rifler Samet "jottAAA" Köklü and Polish AWPer Dawid "SaMey" Stańczak. The newcomers ended up as the team's highest-rated players at the tournament at 1.22 and 1.13, respectively.

The same event also notably saw the new Ninjas in Pyjamas debut with Isak "isak" Fahlén, and they were among the teams to fall at the hands of the victorious Sangal and also suffered a loss to Metizport to exit the event in 9th-12th place.

Nope, Sangal was just smart enough to play Vertigo and nuke. Radar doesnt work as good on those maps with ”2 levels”

I don’t know what You mean by “Sangal were smart enough”. If u look at the Z10 matches, theirs most played maps are Anubis, mirage, nuke, vertigo. More over, they have a decent win rate on nuke. I am not saying that they aren’t cheating, no. I also think like that. However it is strange that they are not permabanning vertigo for example. More over, as I said, they are somehow decent on nuke. Mb they are not that bad without a radar as well. Or there is something we don’t know

those are the maps the mostly play??? maybe z10 got over confident and turned off cheats or didn't think they need to cheat which is why they lost

its not really true, ive seen screenshots from external radarhacks where you have it on your phone or 2nd pc and they put the levels next to eachother, not on top of eachother like cs radar, so its not that difficult to distinguish where enemies are.

S Tier does not mean the best tournament. Katowice and Major are S tier, but on the other hand, Pro League and Chengdu are S tier, but I can easily say Major and IEM Katowice >> Chengdu and Pro League.. but they are all S tier. On paper, this tournament is clearly better tournaments than A tier. (I've seen a LAN tournament where only the best Brazilian teams were playing, yet on Liqupedia it appears as the "A" tier.) I make this tier meter for u Major SS+ Katowice - Cologne SS Chengdu - Rio - Dallas S+ BetBoom - CCT S

Because Sangal were smart enough to play Vertigo and Nuke (2 maps where it’s least beneficial to use radar)
