Spirit vs G2 headlines first round of BLAST Premier Spring Final

donk vs m0NESY: Who will come out on top?

BLAST has revealed the match-ups for the first round of the Spring Final, scheduled for June 12-16. Eight top teams will travel to London to compete in the $425,000 tournament, which will bring the curtain down on the first half of the season.

The teams have been split into two GSL groups of four, with the top three teams advancing to the playoffs (the group winners will go straight to the semi-finals). For the first time in BLAST Premier's history, the grand final will be played in a best-of-five format.

The opening round of the group stage will be headlined by a clash between Spirit and G2. The two teams haven't met since the 2022 Antwerp Major, long before Danil "⁠donk⁠" Kryshkovets was promoted to Spirit's main team. There's a chance that the two teams will cross swords before that, but it will require them to reach the grand final of IEM Dallas.

B1ad3: "Next season will show if we need to make changes"

In the opposite group, all eyes will be on the match pitting Astralis against Natus Vincere. The last time the two teams met was at IEM Cologne 2023, when NAVI still had Oleksandr "⁠s1mple⁠" Kostyliev in the lineup. Astralis have changed quite a bit since then, with Nicolai "⁠device⁠" Reedtz and Victor "⁠Staehr⁠" Staehr the only two remaining players.

All the shitty or decent £30 seats are gone on Friday Only the shitty £50 seats, and good £60-80 seats are left Saturday and Sunday are both more expensive and less available now I've got a Saturday ticket I can't use, but Ticketmaster are currently screwing me around even though I paid for missed event insurance, and I SHOULD be allowed to resell through them (I've seen tickets on resale for months). So that's fun.
