The former Invictus and Wings Up player has been picked up on a permanent basis after a trial period.

flying is Lynn Vision's new fifth player

Lynn Vision have completed the signing of Peiqi "⁠flying⁠" Song, the Chinese organization announced on Weibo on Wednesday. The 22-year-old will fill the vacancy created by Dongkai "⁠Jee⁠" Ji's departure last month.

flying was recruited after a successful trial with the team. At the recent MESA Nomadic Masters Spring in Mongolia, he averaged a 1.10 rating as Lynn Vision finished in fourth place.

Lynn Vision and Jee part ways

flying's signing marks his return to the top of the Chinese scene after a brief period of inactivity following Wings Up's disbandment in January. While competing under that organization, he notably attended the 2023 CS Asia Championships.

Earlier on Wednesday, Lynn Vision moved on to the upper bracket final of ESL Challenger League 47 Asia-Pacific after beating TYLOO 2-1. They will face ATOX next, with the winner qualifying for ESL Pro League 20.

I think the bigger implication is that Lynn Vision might be headed to Cologne cause Mongolz might end up qualifying through the regular ESL World Rankings instead of World Rankings Asia lmao.

Yes, the Mongolz are basically guaranteed to attend Cologne, but I was responding to the claim in #9 that Lynn Vision might get the Asian invite spot instead of the Mongolz. The only way that can happen is by the Mongolz making top 8 in ESL's ranking. The reason for that is because once the top 8 spots ("directly qualified") are handed out, ESL then first hand out the region invites in the play-in stage, before going back to their world ranking to finish off the invites.
