FURIA top Group B as YaLLa Compass moves to playoffs

After a raft of best-of-one action, the group stage of YaLLa Compass has drawn to a close and all six playoff teams are decided.

FURIA emerged victorious from Group B, putting together an impressive run after opening their campaign with a chastening 3-13 defeat at the hands of BIG.

The Brazilian team racked up four wins a row, with only fnatic running them close, thanks to strong performances by their star duo of Kaike "⁠KSCERATO⁠" Cerato and Yuri "⁠yuurih⁠" Santos. By topping the group, FURIA have earned a spot in the semi-finals.

BetBoom bagged the second spot in Group B to earn a quarter-final berth, matching FURIA's 4-1 record but losing out to the Brazilian squad due to their head-to-head record.

fnatic sealed the final quarter-final spot on offer in Group B in their LAN debut with Benjamin "⁠blameF⁠" Bremer, in large part thanks to impressive wins over pre-group favorites Eternal Fire and Complexity, 13-5 and 13-3. They also ran group winners FURIA close in their matchup, suggesting fnatic are in good shape ahead of the playoffs.

Elsewhere in the group Complexity suffered a second group stage exit in as many tournaments, slipping to three meek defeats in a row after starting the group with a 2-0 record. Eternal Fire were the other favorite to crash out, compounding a shaky end to the season that also featured an early elimination from ESL Pro League.
