nettik blitzes FlyQuest as Rooster qualify for ESL Pro League

The dominant team in Oceania were upset in three maps, but they aren't out of the running for an EPL spot yet.

nettik was the standout in the upper bracket final with a 1.45 rating

Rooster have secured a spot at ESL Pro League Season 20 by upsetting FlyQuest in the upper bracket of ESL Challenger League, also grabbing themselves a spot in the grand final of said event in the process.

After a strong 13-3 run in the group stage, Rooster confidently brushed aside Bad News Kangaroos in the first round of the playoffs before clinching a hard-fought 2-1 series win over FlyQuest.

Corey "⁠nettik⁠" Browne has been in sublime form throughout Rooster's campaign, racking up a staggering 1.57 rating over 21 maps thus far. His highlight series came in the victory over FlyQuest, where he hard-carried his team to victory after a chastening 4-13 loss on the first map.

The 20-year-old posted over 100 ADR on both of the remaining maps, putting himself miles clear at the top of the scoreboard with a 1.45 series rating, his closest teammate managing a 1.04 rating.

As a result of their victory, Rooster progress to the grand final and secure an ESL Pro League Season 20 berth. FlyQuest are not out of the running for a Pro League spot just yet, as there are two spots on offer and they can bag the second by beating Mindfreak in the lower bracket final.

it's been 20 seasons of EPL and many years of esl keeping australia on life support and they can't do anything against any tier team it's time for ESL to just pull the plug

yeah, because it's super fun when tier500 european mixes gets stomped by everyone, at least esl gives opportunity to oceania/asia scene which is good not only for players (for your information - there are people who cheer for their regional team) and no, I'm not fan of oceania teams, idk how did you made this - I recommend taking meds

Absolutely not, this series is a lifeline for the region and really the least that ESL can do at this point. I have argued that HLTV shows favoritism to it over the Asian league, but they definitely deserve to have a league in Oceania.
