Sangal complete heroic lower bracket run to qualify for EPL S20

LNZ and company played spoiler to SAW, 9 Pandas, Aurora, 3DMAX, and SINNERS to qualify for ESL's flagship league.

xfloud helped Sangal secure the team's first-ever Big Event qualification

Sangal have qualified for ESL Pro League Season 20 after edging past SINNERS in the consolidation final of ESL Challenger League Season 47 Europe, narrowly beating the Czech team with overtime wins on Mirage (19-17) and Nuke (16-12) on either side of a one-sided loss on Dust2 (6-13).

Linus "⁠LNZ⁠" Holtäng's men had a grueling path to the qualifying match, earning their spot in playoffs by beating B8, TSM, and brazylijski luz in the Stage 2 medium-seed group to secure a lower bracket berth.

They then saw to the elimination of a wealth of teams ranked above them, including 9 Pandas, 3DMAX, and two favorites, SAW and Aurora, thanks in part to a phenomenal run of form by Yasin "⁠xfl0ud⁠" Koç.

The Turkish rifler had a quiet showing in the qualifying match, but his team stepped up around him to help battle past SINNERS.

Tomáš "⁠oskar⁠" Šťastný's side will lament their previous loss to KOI in the upper bracket and now not converting map point on Mirage in what could have been a 2-0 victory, with Sangal instead joining the Spanish-Portuguese side in ESL's flagship league.

SINNERS will have another opportunity to secure qualification for EPL, as the Czech side is slated to play in the league's Europe Closed Qualifier starting tomorrow alongside other sides from ECL and local events, such as SAW, Aurora, and Monte.

KOI qualify for ESL Pro League Season 20

Sangal and KOI will still face off in the Challenger league's grand final to see who walks away with the title and larger share of the prize money, with the former having the chance to complete a full run through the bracket.

Bro you are delusional af. Zedko has been given much more better spots in Sampi. He has a big advantage in positions on map over majky. Majky has just moved from sinners ac to main team, he needs time to get better, but still, he is playing very well.

As a SINNERS fan for quite a long time watching pretty much all of their matches it’s another disappointment after another 2 times being one spot away from EPL, losing CCT to BetBoom, losing so many times to Dynamo Eclot in Czech LAN finals and overall actually not winning a single tournament since MČR 2022 more than a year and half of no wins I’m just so disappointed cause ECLOT were able to win like 5 tournaments only in 2024. GGs to Sangal but bro it still leaves me so disappointed.

Well first its apparently an hobby for the owners and the owners apparently still believe they can get back to their level like in 2021. Although I have pretty much no expectations anymore. And I even forgot to add the lost against BNE which made SINNERS go 2-3 and missing on to the Antwerp Major that pretty much started the streak of disappointments.

personally i doubt that oskar will keep playing for SINNERS for much longer time. If they really wanna keep this project a long time thing eventually they will most likely have to go for fino from Sampi cause not only I but many people believe that this guy has a lot of potential not only in cz/sk. So if we wanna see oskar or LAN hopefully it will be soon cause i dont really think there is that much time left. And im pretty certain that after sinners oskar would most probably stop playing competetively or maybe switch to coaching

Endless disappointment from SINNERS. I was really hoping oskar might finally get a chance to do something again, but after 2021 and that horrendous TITANS stint it just seems so over. Even worse considering how many other awpers get a chance at t1 and t1.5 but end up flopping while oskar wastes away on a SINNERS squad that hasnt gotten it right for 3 years now.

if a pre-qualified team wins a challenger LAN the spot is delegated to the next best ESL ranking team that hasn't qualified so you don't immediately get spot for runner up but it would still be Mongolz I think
