F_1N returns to activity as PARIVISION coach
This will be the Russian's first coaching stint in 2024.

PARIVISION have installed Ivan "F_1N" Kochugov as the new head coach of their Counter-Strike team, the Russian organization announced on Thursday. The 40-year-old will fill a void that has been left vacant since Gregory "balblna" Oleinick stepped down from the role in September 2023.
A former Counter-Strike player who was part of the Virtus.pro squad that finished third at ESWC 2004, F_1N took up coaching in 2017 and worked with players like Dmitry "sh1ro" Sokolov, Sergey "Ax1Le" Rykhtorov and Vladislav "nafany" Gorshkov in CS:GO on Gambit Youngsters and later on Gambit.
He has been out of a job since December, when Cloud9 shut down their academy squad after only four months.
"PARIVISION put a lot of trust in me and offered the role of their head coach, despite my background," he said, seemingly referring to his 8.75-month ban in 2020 for using the coach bug.
"Also the roster is good and capable."
F_1N inherits a squad that has been depleted to four players since in-game leader Andrey "Jerry" Mekhryakov stepped down due to personal reasons, citing burnout.

With PARIVISION currently ranked 47th in Europe in Valve's Regional Standings, F_1N says that the team will have to grind to have a shot at qualifying for the Shanghai Major.
"We haven't worked much together so far, but the team's weakness is the lack of system and structure," he said. "And the team's strength is that it has young, individually strong players alongside very experienced Qikert.
"Our goal is to add to our map pool, start playing structured CS, and attend events because the team needs to qualify for the Major in Shanghai. There won't be open qualifiers, according to the new Valve ranking rules, so for this to happen we need to play, participate in events.
"Our main goal is to compete and try to qualify for the Major. It's the main goal for the players. We will have a shorter break, but we are doing it for the Major."
PARIVISION's squad looks as follows:
Artem "ArtFr0st" Kharitonov
Andrey "BELCHONOKK" Yasinskiy
Robert "Patsi" Isyanov
Aleksei "Qikert" Golubev
Ivan "F_1N" Kochugov (coach)
Andrey "Jerry" Mekhryakov (benched)
