The two-time Big Event-winning coach could soon return after a four-year spell in VALORANT.

Chet retired from competitive CS:GO in 2020

Former Evil Geniuses coach Chet "⁠Chet⁠" Singh is looking to make a return to Counter-Strike, sources have revealed to HLTV.

The 27-year-old has been plying his trade in VALORANT for the past four years, serving under organizations such as NRG, TSM and OpTic.

He currently has an active contract as NRG's head coach in the Riot Games first-person shooter, but has already begun exploring his options in Counter-Strike with multiple North American and European organizations.

Chet's last Counter-Strike team was the Australian-majority 100 Thieves. He is better known for his time with NRG and Evil Geniuses, with whom he won four international titles, including two Big Events at StarSeries i-League Season 8 and ESL One New York, and briefly became the No. 1 team in the world in 2019.

This isn’t true, he had one of the best teams ever formed on paper and they failed. The community blamed him heavily and the comm hates him a lot. He complains about it all the time on Twitter, that’s why not because the game is dying (it’s not) or anti cheat which is actually very good compared to faceits. Not sure why u felt the need to completely lie

Yes as someone in high elo both games I can confirm. 600 rr peaker In valo and faceit 2.5k. Valorant definitely have more cheater but you cannot be 100% because they still don’t have DEMOS AFTER 4 YEARS FOR FUCKING HELL RIOT GAMES HELLLO??

There's highly likely a very large number of cheaters in VALORANT, especially the higher you are but are very discreet about it, you might not even think the guy's cheating but in reality is. It's just hard to tell due to no replay system.

Not many have returned; Chet is easily the biggest name to return this far (if he does). With how the t2 circuit is ran if ur not in T1 is most likely not worth it so they switch. Not sure why u said so many tho only been Floppy and Chet in NA if I recall correctly.

Would love to see him back honestly, his experience might be pretty outdated but he's still got more knowledge than many that could help many NA youngsters

I think he switched to Val because of the opportunity at the time. He was regarded as one of the best coaches available when he switched and he’s had a job ever since. He’s being scapegoated in Valorant rn with NRG because they built a super team and they played horribly.

He did. And tbf, that NRG superteam was an actual disaster. Which teams like that are often attributed to a bad IGL and coach. That so called superteam was basically VALORANT's C9 superteam from last year.

Yeah I mean that team didn’t have an IGL. Their superstar duelist was one of the worst duelist in Valorant. Demon1 can’t play raze but Raze is the meta right now. The maps where Jett is played, one of them they are good at. The other 2 they don’t play or is their permaban. They scapegoated Chet for the teams failure even though the team just didn’t play good lol. They think FNS is the mastermind that will save the team and he might but time will tell. Valorant is too inconsistent of a game. Every team in NA is always swapping between each other. Sentinels was regarded as the best in NA and then they also didn’t make the Shanghai event.

He put Demon1 on hard entry while his role was different in EG. He is definitely not a great coach.

Chet won a tournament with FNS, food, crashies, and yay. Some of these names aren’t popular, but they all played CS. He also coached Wardell, Subroza, hazed, and drone. Again, experienced T2 CS players. I think he and all his players secretly preferred CS. The Valorant pro scene just isn’t worth it
