Perfect World announce Shanghai Major roster lock dates

Teams will be expected to finalize their Major rosters by September.

Perfect World has announced the roster lock dates for Shanghai Major, as well as the date of the final Valve Regional Standings update prior to the RMRs, which will be used to determine seeding.

The first roster lock will come on September 7, nearly three months ahead of the start of the Major's opening stage, by which time the starting lineup of five players must be submitted. A second roster lock, for substitutions and final changes, will come on September 22.

The Regional Standings update that will be used to determine pairings and seeding for the Europe, Americas and Asia RMRs will come on October 15.

The Major cycle will get underway shortly, with Europe's RMR closed qualifiers kicking off August 21. The RMRs take place over the course of November, with the Major proper kicking off with the Opening Stage on November 30.
