FURIA have claimed the final spot in the BetBoom Dacha Belgrade Season 2 playoffs after securing a 2-0 win over 9 Pandas at the end of the play-in stage.
In the rematch from the opening round, where 9 Pandas had battered FURIA on two maps, the Brazilians responded in kind as Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo delivered on some fighting words he had brought to the game.
In a reply to Aleksandr "shalfey" Marenov's claim that 9 Pandas' opening triumph against FURIA was "not a big win," the veteran AWPer said to Esports.gg that he was looking forward to the rematch because 9 Pandas were "not that good."
FalleN went on to dominate the Russian side with a scoreboard-topping 46-22 K-D performance (1.65 rating). Inferno was a straightforward affair with FURIA putting on a 10-round CT side, while on Dust2 the Brazilians fought off a 9 Pandas comeback from 6-12 to secure the game in overtime.
The Brazilians are still due to play a best-of-one match for first place in the group against Eternal Fire, which will have a higher seeding going into the playoffs up for grabs.
