The Dane trialed with a team just days after Astralis triggered a medical emergency substitution by deeming him "unfit to play" at the BLAST Premier Fall Final.

ENCE are in the process of trying out Alexander "⁠br0⁠" Bro, Richard Lewis first reported and multiple sources who wish to remain anonymous have told HLTV.

The team has been on the lookout to replace Krzysztof "⁠Goofy⁠" Górski, whose contract with the organization was terminated by mutual consent last week as the 24-year-old Pole decided to take a break from competition.

Their targeting of br0 comes at a time of turmoil around the 22-year-old, who was replaced on Astralis by Casper "⁠cadiaN⁠" Møller with a week to go ahead of the start of BLAST Premier Fall Final.

In a highly-criticized and scrutinized move, Astralis deemed br0 "unfit to play" in a request for an emergency substitution in the Copenhagen tournament, which BLAST granted on the basis of a medical emergency.

The organizers later doubled down on the decision amid pressure from protesting teams and players saying they have been given "no reason to question Astralis' original statement" despite br0's agent, Fabian Broich, being on record claiming his player is "fully healthy and ready to perform."

Sources further tell HLTV that br0 underwent trials with ENCE as recently as this Tuesday, the same day that Astralis took part in media obligations ahead of the start of the BLAST Premier Fall Final.

When contacted for comment, the agent replied with the following: "As I am allowed to talk to teams, I have reached out to teams and having ongoing conversations with them about Alex, as we are also allowed to do tryouts. If Alex had a tryout today, I am not able to share that with you."

Meanwhile, ENCE co-founder Joona "⁠natu⁠" Leppänen confirmed to HLTV that the team has been "trialing and testing multiple players over the past week, including today," without mentioning any names.

This is Ence we're talking about here. They have been relevant for such a long time even if they've never been the best in the world. They have positive cash flow and many players picked up by the org have been successful in tier 1. If you aren't going to be in tier 1, an org like Ence is the next best place to go.

dude played in Astralis talent so gl4ive most likely know exactly what kind of a player br0 is. Finnish CS influencer said that ENCE probably isn't "married" to most of the players anyway. They most likely make roster moves one at the time and doesn't blow up the whole roster at once. I mean -Kylar/gl4ive will happen at some point if -Goofy doesn't cut it. gl4ive's contract is until end of 2025 or something.
