phzy will have to sit out the ESL Challenger event in Atlanta

Love "⁠phzy⁠" Smidebrant will not be with Wildcard at ESL Challenger Atlanta, set to take place on October 4-6 at the Georgia World Congress Center.

The Swede has been on Wildcard's books for two months after joining with Tim "⁠susp⁠" Ångström in July, but will not be able to play the LAN in the United States due to visa issues.

The 22-year-old already debuted with his new team on LAN earlier in September at ESL Pro League Season 20 in Malta, where they went 1-4 with the singular victory coming against a struggling KOI.

Wildcard's coach Vincent "⁠vinS⁠" Jozefiak confirmed on X that the substitution is due to visa issues. In to replace phzy for the tournament will be vinS' countryman Sebastian "⁠fr3nd⁠" Kuśmierz.

Wildcard will field the following team in Atlanta:

South Africa Aran "⁠Sonic⁠" Groesbeek
Sweden Tim "⁠susp⁠" Ångström
United States Josh "⁠JBa⁠" Barutt
