BLAST request ESIC investigation into Astralis' emergency substitution for BLAST Fall Final
The tournament organizer stated that "conflicting information" has been presented to them regarding the situation.

BLAST has announced that they have requested a "formal investigation" by ESIC into Astralis' request for an emergency substitution for BLAST Premier Fall Final. The request comes after Astralis have already concluded their campaign at Fall Final, where they exited the tournament in joint-last place.
The announcement stated that the matter had been "a continually evolving situation" and that "conflicting information" was presented to BLAST. "We've held what we hoped would be final discussions with Astralis and the player’s representatives over the last few days to clarify the situation, which resulted with both parties voicing different positions," BLAST's statement read. Whilst not explicitly stated, Alexander "br0" Bro and his representatives would presumably be to whom the statement refers.

The situation began when Astralis revealed upon signing Casper "cadiaN" Møller that his first matches for the team would be at BLAST Fall Final, despite the deadline for roster submissions for said event having passed two weeks prior to his signing. HLTV conducted an investigation into the matter, and found that BLAST had sent an email to teams attending the event stating that they had approved an emergency addition to Astralis' roster "due to a medical emergency" with one of their players.

br0's agent later stated via X that his client was not dealing with any health issues, and was in fact "fully healthy and ready to perform." HLTV spoke with representatives from three other teams attending Fall Final, who privately expressed doubt regarding Astralis' request for an emergency substitution.

The captains of the seven teams attending Fall Final besides Astralis then organized a protest against BLAST's decision to allow the emergency sub, all signing an open letter to BLAST and six of them missing out on Fall Final's media day.
In the wake of the public pressure being applied to BLAST, they released a statement saying they had "been given no reason to question Astralis' original statement." It seems BLAST have now changed their position on the matter, judging by their discussions with Astralis and br0's representatives and their request to ESIC.
