BC.Game bench anarkez; GuardiaN steps in

The legendary AWPer makes a temporary return to the server while BC.Game search for a replacement for anarkez.

anarkez is benched from BC.Game after less than four months

BC.Game have announced the benching of Guy "⁠anarkez⁠" Trachtman from their Counter-Strike team.

The team's coach, Ladislav "⁠GuardiaN⁠" Kovács, will temporarily step in to fill the void until the team finds a permanent replacement for the Israeli AWPer.

anarkez' departure marks the second change in the team within four months of its existence. Joel "⁠joel⁠" Holmlund was previously removed from the roster in the aftermath of being banned by Akros anti-cheat and replaced by Simon "⁠KWERTZZ⁠" Horák.

The Israeli's removal is a result of a "struggling to get things to click," according to a statement from BC.Game. "We have to admit that we have not succeeded. Therefore, we have found it necessary to make some changes in order to get back on track," it said.

"We have a strong belief that we can become competitive with the right changes."

Albeit temporary, GuardiaN's return to the server is certain to earn some fanfare. The Slovak legend has been largely inactive as a player for the past two years, but was already called upon to step in for BC.Game once before and made waves with a scoreboard-topping performance.

he might have had more trophies under karrigan but that doesnt mean he wasnt shit _without_ karrigan. yes there's a correlation between trophies won and being a star player, but having more trophies just means you were in a more successful TEAM, not that YOU were a better player individually by being in that team. look at how successful simple was even before he was in na'vi. absolutely crushing people while he was in liquid, but liquid didnt win shit in that era (correct me if im wrong)

If they happen to get an actual coach with Guardian AWPing full time, he might still have a chance to get back at the top (assuming he gets poached). His second stint in NaVi doesn't count just like brollan's time in NiP. He still has that dawg in him. For a player of his calibre and consistency, a good and hungry mindset capped by confidence will take him to the point (and potentially further) of his prime.
