maxster: "I'm feeling a lot better"

The Swede has given an update on why he is missing the last stretch of the year.

Ninjas in Pyjamas announced on Wednesday that they will field Jacob "⁠jocab⁠" Nerheden at Svenska Cupen and the RMR while Max "⁠maxster⁠" Jansson continues to recover after a bout on the injured list that kept him away from the team during Elisa Masters Espoo and Thunderpick World Championship.

The 20-year-old has now released a personal statement about why he was absent from the server, stating that he "felt dizzy, had headaches, stomach pain, and generally felt unwell," and had "trouble eating, felt weak, and lacked energy."

maxster then followed it up with the good news that he is "feeling a lot better" and that he wanted to start playing during this last stretch of the season, but Ninjas in Pyjamas made the decision not to bring him back into the fold too quickly.

"I really understand the decision," he says, "but obviously it sucks to miss the biggest Swedish tournament and also what should have been my first RMR."

Ninjas in Pyjamas are set to face Alliance in the Svenska Cupen semi-finals, where Metizport and Johnny Speeds are on the other side of the bracket. If they make it to the final they will play one last official match on Saturday at 17:00 before they head to China to play the RMR.

The heat will then be turned up in Shanghai, where Ninjas in Pyjamas are slated to face the second highest-ranked team in the world, G2, in the opening round of the Major-qualifying campaign on November 21.
