Three spots at the Perfect World Shanghai Major are on offer in the Asia RMR. Here's everything you need to know about how the three-day event will unfold.

The wait for the final qualifying stage ahead of the Perfect World Shanghai Major is nearly over. On Monday, November 11 the three-week road to Counter-Strike's premier competition will kick off with the Asia RMR, taking place in Shanghai, China.

For the first time since StarLadder Berlin 2019 we'll see three teams advance through the Asia-Pacific qualifier, and eight contenders are now getting ready for the fight to get their hands on Major spoils.

Participating teams and format

Eight teams will play at the Asia RMR after qualifying via the Valve Regional Standings (The MongolZ, FlyQuest and Lynn Vision) or a series of qualifiers in China (Rare Atom), Oceania (TALON), Middle East (DRILLAS), East Asia (GR) and Rest of Asia (Alter Ego).

These have been seeded into a double-elimination bracket, the opening round of which will be played in best-of-one matches and the rest in best-of-three series. The opening matchups are in the schedule section below.

Schedule

The tournament will be played from November 11-13. The first day is reserved for the opening round, the second day for the first two qualification and two elimination series, and the third day for the final three lower bracket matches for the third Shanghai Major spot.
