Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 Europe RMR teams, format, schedule, prizes, talent, fantasy

Two groups of 16 teams will take place consecutively to decide the last 14 teams advancing to the Shanghai Major.

NAVI's match against fnatic will kick off the first European group

The first 10 teams to qualify for the Perfect World Shanghai Major have been decided. Asia saw The MongolZ, Rare Atom and FlyQuest make it through, while in the Americas Wildcard, MIBR, paiN, Complexity, Liquid, Imperial and FURIA secured their spots in the first stage.

The biggest region of them all is left, Europe, where 32 teams will fight for the last 14 Major spots in two groups taking place consecutively from November 17-20 and 21-24.

Participating teams and format

From the 32 teams taking part in the two Europe RMR groups, half came through the Valve Regional Standings (VRS) and half from closed qualifiers back in August.

The teams were then split into two groups based on the VRS as of mid-October:

The format will be the exact same as in the Americas: a Swiss system with best-of-ones in the establishing matches and best-of-threes once elimination or qualification is on the line.

In each group, deciders will be played for fourth place between the two lowest-seeded teams with a 3-1 record (the top four in each group get to skip the first Major stage) and for seventh place between the two lowest-seeded teams with a 3-2 record to determine the seventh team qualifying for the Major from each group.

Each group will span four days. The first day will see two rounds played, followed by one round per day.

There are 14 spots at the Perfect World Shanghai Major on offer in the two European RMR groups. The top four teams from each group will advance directly to the Elimination Stage, while teams placed fifth-seventh will start from the Opening Stage.
