Cloud9, SAW, fnatic, and SINNERS are one best-of-three away from making the Perfect World Shanghai Major after securing victories in the 1-1 pool of Europe RMR A.

Meanwhile, Falcons, Sangal, BetBoom and ECLOT face the prospect of an early elimination following their losses, with the first pair left particularly downtrodden after putting up woeful showings.

Sangal crumbled under pressure in their 1-0 match against MOUZ on day one and looked no better against Cloud9, squandering a number of advantages and looking a shadow of the team that impressed online in the summer.

fnatic barely scraped a win against BetBoom, needing all 24 rounds and several Benjamin "⁠blameF⁠" Bremer clutches to edge out Nuke. That is made worse by the fact fnatic led 7-3 in the first half and 9-5 in the second, but with best-of-threes ahead, the team will at least have more room for blameF to work with in the late round.

SINNERS made light work of fellow Czech organization ECLOT in the final 1-1 match, a 1.81-rated map from Josef "⁠MoriiSko⁠" Maurenc powering his team to a 13-8 win as they bounced back from a 5-13 thrashing by NAVI on day one.
