Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 Europe RMR AFaZe beat Cloud9 to earn Elimination Stage spot
karrigan's team joins Vitality, MOUZ and NAVI in the second stage of the Major.
FaZe have secured the last Perfect World Shanghai Major Elimination Stage spot on offer in Europe RMR A after beating Cloud9 in the fourth-place decider.
The Kirill "Boombl4" Mikhailov-led team will start the Major from the Opening Stage, where they'll join the three Asian and seven Americas teams as well as those who place 6th-7th in each of the two European groups.
Håvard "rain" Nygaard kept up his impressive RMR performance, as he was once again crucial to the victory against Cloud9. He put up 1.63 and 1.65 ratings in FaZe's convincing map wins on Mirage and Inferno, which came on either side of a loss on Ancient.

The Norwegian ends the Major qualifier with by far the team's highest rating at 1.28 over all nine maps they played, and a staggering 1.50 rating and 94 ADR in just their map wins on the way to the Elimination Stage against Cloud9, Falcons and fnatic.
In an interview with HLTV conducted ahead of the fourth-place decider, rain shared his uptick in performance comes as a result of a better work ethic. "I've been putting more hours into focusing on myself and making sure I don't miss the kills that I should be getting," he said. "I've just got to keep working and hopefully keep it up for the Major."
