RED Canids announce changes just days after failing to qualify for the Perfect World Shanghai Major.

In-game leader nython has been relieved of his duties in RED Canids

David "⁠dav1deuS⁠" Tapia Maldonado and Gabriel "⁠nython⁠" Lino have been benched from RED Canids' roster, the Brazilian organization announced on Wednesday.

Both players leave the active roster after a year of service under RED Canids. The organization has not yet announced their replacements.

The benchings follow a disappointing Perfect World Shanghai Major Americas RMR campaign last week, where RED Canids missed out on a place at the Major.

After losing the opening two rounds, they came back with wins against local opposition Case and Legacy but were stopped in the fifth round by Imperial.

nython continued a streak of poor form in the Major qualifier, ending it with a 0.74 rating in nine maps. The in-game leader had already struggled while on the AWP, but a move away from the Big Green upon the arrival of Henrique "⁠HEN1⁠" Teles caused his numbers to drop further, to a 0.78 rating since the August signing.

nython should have been benched a long time ago, but why davideus?? He's had a 1.18 rating for the whole of 2024 and a 1.10 at the RMR alongside HEN1 and coldzera and he pretty much had only one really bad performance vs M80. Red Canids wat doing
