Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 Opening StageGamerLegion march into 2-0 pool in Shanghai
The young European side have continued their good form from the RMR to put themselves on the brink of progressing to the next stage.
GamerLegion have grabbed themselves a spot in the 2-0 pool in Shanghai, making themselves one of the notable stories as the opening day came to a close.
Having already taken down FURIA comfortably in their opening game, GamerLegion took down another Brazilian side in the form of paiN thanks to a fantastic T-side showing on Nuke. The game plan was solid, the mid-rounds were well-called, and a couple of force-buy wins on CT side sealed the deal for GamerLegion.

Liquid also entered the 2-0 pool after a successful opening day, although they laboured somewhat in their victory over Wildcard. Love "phzy" Smidebrant missed some sitters with his AWP and Josh "JBa" Barutt had a stinker of a T side, letting Liquid's uninspired defense off the hook, before Mareks "YEKINDAR" Gaļinskis and Roland "ultimate" Tomkowiak provided the impact to get their offense over the line.
