Virtus.pro CEO: "If replacements are required, they will be made"
He said that any "further steps" would be decided on after "a detailed analysis of the season."

Virtus.pro's CEO, Nikolai Petrossian, has released a statement on Telegram following the conclusion of his team's ill-fated campaign at Perfect World Shanghai Major. The Russian side exited the Opening Stage with a 1-3 record following losses to Wildcard, BIG and MIBR.
In this statement he detailed his thoughts on the team's run at the Major, as well as briefly outlining the organization's plans for the future.
Petrossian began by stating is opinion that Virtus.pro's finish was not a result to be proud of. "Reaching the CS2 Major for an organization of our calibre can be considered the minimum goal," he began.

"But, to be honest, at a certain point, success at RMR no longer seemed guaranteed. We managed to partially correct the situation and still qualify for the Major. Unfortunately, the minimum program for Virtus.pro turned out to be the maximum result in the current reality. This is not a result that anyone in VP can be proud of."
He briefly mentioned a "virus the players caught in Shanghai," but said that he "didn't want to look for excuses," before going on to praise his players for the work they did during their bootcamp.
"A long bootcamp, painstaking work on updating the playbook, diligent individual training — the guys showed professionalism, but this was only enough to reach the Opening Stage. For their dedication and motivation, they deserve the warmest words of support, which we will definitely say to them when we meet."
The statement concluded by saying that, whilst people should not believe all the transfer rumours that will start appearing, the team was ready to make changes should they be needed.
"As we agreed before the trip to Shanghai, we will conduct a detailed analysis of the season and decide on further steps. If replacements are required, they will be made. If investments are required, they will be made. This failure has not affected our firm desire to return Virtus.pro to the top of the world CS."
