ESL introduce additional financial incentives to 2025 Impact circuit

The tournament organizer has revealed event dates, slot distribution, and new financial incentives.

Imperial fe will aim to win their ninth straight Impact title

ESL have announced the details of the ESL Impact circuit for 2025, set to feature a Seasonal Club Incentive, which focuses on short and long-form content creation and aims to help teams showcase their journey and connect with their fans.

The tournament organizer will contribute $700,000 through the Season Club Incentive to organizations participating in tournaments throughout the year, with each season featuring a $350,000 incentive pool.

The program, which will come in addition to the prize money, will include a performance-based reward for organizations tied to their results during each season ($100,000), as well as an incentive structure focused on short and long-form content creation, which will amount to $250,000.

The prize pool for the two ESL Impact seasons will remain at $150,000 per season.

Another change is the adjustment of regional slots at the eight-team Season finals. Europe will now receive four finals slots, while North and South America are set to receive two each.

ESL have also added that Season 7 will allow teams to requalify based on previous results and serve as a transitional phase before Season 8, where all participants will be determined through Valve Regional Standings invites combined with open qualifiers.

The ESL Impact calendar is as follows:

January 31-February 6 - Open Qualifiers S7
February 26-April 13 - ESL Impact League S7
May 23-May 25 - ESL Impact League S7 Finals held in Dallas

August 15-24 - Open Qualifiers S8
September 10-October 26 - ESL Impact League S8
November 28-30 - ESL Impact League S8 Finals held in Stockholm

Well I think there is value to giving underdeveloped scenes more chances so they can develop. I would like to see more women in pro cs, diversity is a good thing imo. I get your point, I just think that some of the "excuses" may be valid in this case.

Valve did count female events in *this* year for the VRS, though, it seems. otherwise, i can't tell why imperial fe, furia fe and navi javelins are #25, #26 and #32 right now for example (in the global valve ranking), when i'm pretty sure they've only/mostly attended female events

showing them in the ranking =/= inviting them based on the ranking. sure it would be more clear to not include them at all but as we all know the valve ranking is quite new and will be improved with time. hope this helps. regards.

IIRC each region participating needs a minimum of 2 slots ESL impact only plays in Dreamhack Dreamhack only has availability for 8 slots Between NA and Asia, I figure ESL decided that NA has more better teams available, even tho hsg is better than hsg. This is the reasoning I take from reading tweets from some impact-related accounts on Twitter
