G2's former in-game leader, Rasmus "⁠HooXi⁠" Nielsen, will be a free agent on January 1, 2025, the player has announced, and he is still on the lookout for a new team to join.

The Dane also stated he's open to all offers, but "the most important aspect is an interesting roster with strong potential!"

HooXi interview: Benching, dealing with criticism, and post-G2 future

HooXi has been on the sidelines since July, when he was benched on G2 in favor of Polish in-game leader Janusz "⁠Snax⁠" Pogorzelski.

The roster change that put him on the bench came after G2 had a dry spell in the first half of the year, except for a championship run at IEM Dallas, which they won with Jake "⁠Stewie2K⁠" Yip standing in for the Danish in-game leader.

HooXi's best year was 2023, when he led G2 to IEM Katowice and IEM Cologne trophies after his first Big Event victory with the team at BLAST World Final in late 2022.

Falcons have nooo trouble rotating players until they basically get the top 5 in the world assembled into one team that much is clear. Snappi is so catastrophically bad atm that hooxi after 6 months on the bench is probably an upgrade. So from that lens, it would make sense. Mostly because they're already starting fresh next year so the move would be less dramatic. And the PR would give them some more interest.
