The Brazilian side enacted its second change after missing out on the Shanghai Major.

NEKIZ departs Legacy's active roster after 15 months of service

Legacy have announced that Gabriel "⁠NEKIZ⁠" Schenato has been benched from their Counter-Strike roster and made available for transfer.

The removal of their long-standing captain comes after the organization benched Bruno "⁠b4rtiN⁠" Câmara in November, shortly after they missed out on the Perfect World Shanghai Major.

The Brazilian squad began the Americas RMR with a fantastic win over FURIA but couldn't follow up their early success as they lost to 9z, M80, and Marcelo "⁠coldzera⁠" David's RED Canids to peter out with a 1-3 record.

NEKIZ, who has been on the team since September 2023, was Legacy's lowest-rated player in China with a 0.66 rating, far lower than his average of 0.94 in 2024.

The Brazilian rifler stated on X that he has no preference about being an IGL in his next squad but that he would take on the role without any problems depending on the project.

According to a previous report by Dust2.com.br, NEKIZ's replacement has already been found, as Legacy are aiming to bolster their squad with Lucas "⁠lux⁠" Meneghini and Vinicius "⁠n1ssim⁠" Pereira.

Respect to Nekiz, but finally! Dumau, latto and saadzin deserves a better team, I'm still not convinced on lux IGL but if n1ssim didn't forget how to play in this last year in the bench this new legacy sure look stacked

I respect him for taking the challenge of not only becoming an IGL but taking on new CT roles. Massive propos to him, who always came out as a nice and positive guy. But it was clear it was not working in-server. I believe he could still be a decent entry/anchor and secondary caller for a new team. Excited af for this new Legacy lineup. Potential is through the roof.

Great changes! b4tin was on slump that looks like a real downgrade in his performance, he's not recovering, so it was a good move. NEKIZ always been the team weak link, so a new IGL with different approach and waaaay more firepower is very welcome. With the changes, the team gets younger and more skilled (with lux and n1ssim), I expect Legacy to become a decent top 30 team.
