Forester is benched after a year in AMKAL

AMKAL have announced that their entire Counter-Strike 2 roster, including coach Svyatoslav "⁠svyat⁠" Dovbakh, has been benched and made available for transfer.

AMKAL, whose team currently sits at No. 71 in HLTV's rankings, entered Counter-Strike at the start of 2024 after signing the ex-1win core, which gave them a spot at the Copenhagen Major RMRs.

The team achieved their goal by reaching the Copenhagen Major but lost star AWPer Kaisar "⁠ICY⁠" Faiznurov to Cloud9 soon after, which coincided with a drop down the rankings as the team was unable to hit the ground running with new additions Evgenii "⁠topo⁠" Lopatin and Emil "⁠nota⁠" Moskvitin.

AMKAL attended just one more LAN tournament for the rest of the year in Skyesports Championship 2024, where they reached the quarter-final, before plummeting down to the fringes of the top 100 in the rankings.

"We have always fought for the highest places — for the fight to continue, changes are inevitable," the organization said in their Telegram statement while adding that their new roster will be announced "a bit later."

The following roster is now available for transfer:
