The British organization will enter 2025 with two new players.

fear will lead fnatic in 2025

fnatic have announced the signings of Rodion "⁠fear⁠" Smyk and Denys "⁠Burmylov⁠" Buraga to once again bring their roster up to full strength.

The Ukrainian duo will take the place of Alexandre "⁠bodyy⁠" Pianaro and Tim "⁠nawwk⁠" Jonasson, who were removed from the roster during the winter offseason.

The move signals the move to a much younger roster by fnatic, as the incoming duo is a combined 14 years younger than bodyy and nawwk, which brings the average age of a previously aging squad down to 24.5.

fear joins fnatic as the team's new IGL after he led Passion UA to a surprise appearance at the Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 Opening Stage following wins against Astralis, Spirit, and Virtus.pro at the RMR.

Burmylov joins from MOUZ NXT, who he has represented since January 2024. During his time with the academy outfit, he averaged a 1.05 rating and notably helped the team place second at RES Regional Series 3 Europe and CCT Season 2 Europe Series 3.

The new-look fnatic is set to debut at BLAST Bounty Season 1 after the European combine recently got an invite following The MongolZ's withdrawal.

fear has no real calling experience in english language,and byrmylov was kicked from mouz nxt.Why dont just sign hooxi and sunpayus or even bring afro back(which is bad,but could've worked with hooxi).fear will need some time,or maybe he cant call as good in english as in russian.So both very questionable,this core has top 10 potential,but now it's probably top 15 at best AND if everything goes very good.

Thats not true xD he called on international rosters Benched Heroes and The Witchers before they went full UA which they were at the top end of t2 with acceptable results placing in the better placings in t2 and t3 tournaments

both team u mentioned achieved literally nothing,they didnt get through any qualifiers,and if you expect the same type of calling from fear in fnatic as in PUA then u r in for a rough ride.I wish fear and byrmylov success in fnatic,and the whole team as well,but when I try to analyze a little bit,I don't see anything that helps their case.But i guess we weill see how it will go soon

I'm not too keen on Burmylov (He was not that impressive when I saw Mouz NXT), but he's been farming FPL like crazy, so the motivation is there and he's 17 years old, so there is time to develop if talent is there. Unless Krimz shows something in the next 6 months (He's staying because of the core), it should be his time to go.

The signing of burmylov is definitely surprising. In terms of the stats from his time at mouz nxt, I did not expect that any big team could sign him. But I like that Fnatic is willing to take a risk. Lets see if it works out.

Just looking at the stats, dude would have to awp 1 or 2 tiers above his standard to be relevant in T2. I hope it is just one season "tryout" cause this will very likely won't work. There are MUCH better awpers free or cheap out there. Other than that roster looks solid, but they kinda shuffled players, but kept same "problem" like with nawk and afro.
