juanflatroo departs Into the Breach, reiko addition confirmed*
The 27-year old is headed for a "new venture" with reiko coming in as his replacement.
Update 19:52 : Into the Breach have confirmed Kamil "reiko" Cegiełko as Flatron "juanflatroo" Halimi's replacement. The Pole had already competed in several officials for Into the Breach in the last days of 2024.
reiko spent the early years of his career playing for Polish sides HONORIS and Anonymo, before struggling to find a long-term home in 2024. He most-recently featured for Revenant, averaging a 1.15 rating playing a mix of tier-two and tier-three European online events.
Update 17:34 : juanflatroo revealed on X that he is in fact a free agent, and encouraged interested parties to contact his agent.
Into the Breach have announced that juanflatroo has departed the team "for a new venture," ending his seven-month stint with the organization. It was not specified what juanflatroo's new venture is.
juanflatroo joined Into the Breach in June as part of a rebuild of the roster that began with the signing of Owen "smooya" Butterfield. Dionis "sinnopsyy" Budeci, an ex-Guild Eagles teammate of juanflatroo, and former GamerLegion man Nicolas "Keoz" Dgus also featured in the rebuild.
Into the Breach struggled for results with their new roster, leading to Mohammad "BOROS" Malhas quickly being benched. Hristiyan "REDSTAR" Pironkov came in to replace the Jordanian rifler, but Into the Breach's form failed to notably improve, with the team regularly exiting CCT-level events early doors and failing to crack the top 50 of HLTV's world ranking.
In November, it was announced than juanflatroo would be taking a break from competition as a result of "a couple of exhausting months/year," thus Into the Breach played their last few events of 2024 without the 27-year-old. reiko has been playing for Into the Breach in their latest matches.
