ESL announce Pro League S22 location following Valve's warning

The 22nd season of Pro League will be held in Stockholm.

ESL have revealed Stockholm as the location of one of their unannounced 2025 tournaments, ESL Pro League S22, set to start on September 27.

The announcement comes after Valve sent out an email urging tournament organizers to comply with "Tournament Operating Requirements" that came into force at the start of 2025.

The game developer stated that they would "have to explore penalties" if missing information regarding 2025 events was not "addressed immediately," with several organizers not conforming to the requirements at the time of the email.

Valve issues warning to TOs over missed deadlines

It is worth noting that ESL have still not confirmed the location of IEM Spring, set to be played from April 21-27, which means they are still not in compliance with Valve's request.

Alongside the location announcement, ESL has also updated their 2025 Counter-Strike rulebook to bring it in line with Valve's updated tournament operating requirements.

Atleast cs is popular in sweden. Also while the swedish crowd is not the best, swedes atleast care about the game in general and not only when swedish players/teams are playing.
