BLAST Bounty S1 Finals team list finalized

Eight teams have survived the single-elimination bracket and will travel to Copenhagen.

donk and Spirit are looking for back-to-back trophies

Eight teams will fly to Denmark to complete Bounty Season 1 in BLAST's new-look studio.

All of the top four seeds have made it through the tricky online single elimination format, G2, Spirit, Natus Vincere, and Vitality, with big dogs MOUZ and FaZe missing out.

Underdogs HEROIC and BetBoom also qualify with honeymoons underway in rebuilt rosters, although the latter team will have to use two stand-ins in Copenhagen.

paiN and Eternal Fire complete the list, teams who made a roster change apiece and have hit the ground running.

Teams will choose their opponents in a live show on January 22, with the lower-seeded 'Bounty Hunters' choosing their opponents starting with number five seed BetBoom.

How does the picking method work? Shouldnt the lowest seeded team pick 1st (Heroic according to HLTV ranking) ? Im asking because I see that you say BB vs G2. I think that everyone wants to play G2 here from the list.

During the 2 online games it was the highest seed of the lower half (#17 of 32, #9 of 16 teams) picking their opponent first, idk how it is now

#67 is correct this tourney has a unique system, top4 seeds become bounties top5-8 are bounty hunters and they pick based on seed. If you eliminate a higher seed you inherit their seed, for example whoever elims G2 will get and keep seed #1 until they are eliminated as well. This is how everyone got their seeds.

i just randomly clicked stupid scenarios like betboom winning everything etc and you are right, bounty amounts are close it doesn't matter at all, either you win quarterfinals and semifinals and get fat checks or you lose and go out... it matters only for the "weak" teams if they make deep runs, BetBoom for example beat mouz and furia and they secured 20k when they lose at quarterfinals

It's small differences for the biggest teams, but for smaller orgs it can mean a lot. Like if B8 had beat G2, that 30k was no joke to them. All depends 🤷

exactly, If Vitality loses in quarterfinals they get 0$ whereas if BetBoom loses they get 20k even if they both get same place (5th-8th)... lower seeded teams can get good money for pulling off some upsets but the favorites need to advance further to get fat paychecks

BetBoom hear me out: Pick Team Spirit they offer the same bounty as Na'Vi but might be an easier matchup for a Tier 2 team. With the right preparation and a solid game plan you have a good shot at pulling off an upset. No risk no fun!

Team BetBoom will 100% choose Team Spirit as their opponent. They will in any case lose to any top 4 team because they have 2 substitutions, and they will at least easily miss out on Spirit because they have one sponsor
