Spirit and Natus Vincere have declined invites to the IEM event.

m0NESY and G2 will be back in the States to defend their crown

ESL have revealed the first eight teams to attend IEM Dallas 2025, featuring six of the top eight from February 3's Valve Ranking update.

Spirit and Natus Vincere are the teams to decline, allowing Eternal Fire and MOUZ to grab the final two European invites.

FURIA enter as the top-ranked South American team, with Liquid as the NA representative and The MongolZ for Asia.

GamerLegion appeal to Valve about VRS calculation discrepancy

The May 19-25 event is the last Big Event before June's Austin Major next door in Texas, while it is immediately preceded by PGL Astana May 10-18.

The other eight teams will be decided by qualifiers, starting with a 2048 team open qualifier before regional closed qualifiers.

10 teams, from Falcons down to Nemiga, have been invited to the European 18-team qualifier while the two American regions and Asia sport four-team tournaments for a spot each.

Might be true. For now, considering ranking and recent results, i would say it's still like Furia 55/45 Pain. It can change for sure in a few months. But neither are potential tournament winners, far from it.

How many top teams has Pain gotten to face with their new addition? They beat Faze then had a very competitive game against Navi. Unlike Furia who got absolutely curb stomped by Navi, beaten by Faze and unironically almost lost a map to an ESEA advanced women's team.

new addition isn't going to bring much more to the team. furia can beat almost any top 10 team, pain can't (yet) and I prefer any team before furia. only br team I hate

tbh it's good to avoid playing too many events and end up burntout like navi last year, considering this year's calendar

because they will attend PGL Astana and that event ends 1 day before Dallas starts so they chose to participate in the first one

Maybe they will also skip the Major to have a nice extended vacation. Both Spirit and Na'Vi won a Major each in 2024 so there is no pressure on them to win another one.

Just check the format of IEM Dallas Europe Closed Qualifier If you win 2 matches, you qualify. If you lose one, you have to win 5 more matches to qualify. Wtf is this sh** lmao
