MOUZ make playoffs over Spirit in BLAST Lisbon with back-to-back OT wins
Spirit dominated Dust2 before MOUZ clinched two hard-fought overtime wins, repeating their victory from the playoffs of EPL.

MOUZ have earned a playoff berth at BLAST Open Lisbon thanks to a 2-1 victory over Spirit, bouncing back from a battering on Dust2 (3-13) with hard-fought wins on Nuke (16-13) and Ancient (25-22).
Dust2 was all one-way traffic thanks to a Danil "donk" Kryshkovets and Dmitry "sh1ro" Sokolov-powered T side rolling over MOUZ, granting Spirit a comfortable finish after they won and converted the CT pistol.
Nuke was a back-and-forth affair, Lotan "Spinx" Giladi driving MOUZ onwards whilst donk answered for Spirit, which eventually went to overtime. Having already showed the chops at EPL to win Nuke in the extra rounds, MOUZ repeated the feat, squeaking out a 16-13 victory to send the series to a decider.
Spirit bagged a lead early on Ancient thanks to converting their T pistol, but MOUZ's defense brought the score close once they got guns up.
MOUZ carried that momentum into their T half, only for donk and sh1ro to step up and push Spirit to map point. A force-buy brute-forced it's way onto the B site to keep MOUZ alive, and they repeated the B hits twice more to force OT.
The frenetic nature of the map continued into OT with the teams battling to and fro in a series of crazy rounds and big plays. Ultimately it was Spirit's B hold that let them down, MOUZ once again hitting the site in back-to-back rounds to close out.
MOUZ can now look forward to a potential EPL grand final rematch, should Vitality take down Virtus.pro, whilst Spirit head for a lower bracket bout with FaZe.

MOUZ lay claim to title of second-best team in the world
Now that MOUZ have won a trophy, claimed second at ESL Pro League, and twice beaten Spirit in recent weeks, they have a serious argument for being the second-best team in the world behind Vitality.
In both victories over Spirit, it was MOUZ's impressive resilience deep in maps that got them over the line, an excellent change for the team considering their problems in previous years.
Spirit's over-reliance on donk costs them
Spirit once again were undone once donk's impact dried up, a theme that plagues the Russian side. Even though donk was still the best player in the series, he couldn't find the multi-kill entries Spirit were relying on late on Ancient, and thus Spirit couldn't get over the line.
