Apogee continue surprise run in Astralis stomp
The Polish team has put Astralis on the brink of elimination.

Betclic have defeated Astralis with a 2-0 scoreline (Mirage 13-8, Ancient 13-9) to continue their surprising PGL Bucharest run. The Polish side began their tournament with a loss against FURIA, but have now beaten The MongolZ and Astralis to move just one win away from the playoffs.
Meanwhile, the loss puts Astralis one loss away from yet another group-stage elimination after an apathetic display against the Polish underdogs.
The series started on Betclic's pick of Mirage, where the Poles ran over Astralis to take a 12-3 lead. While they had some trouble closing out the map as Astralis found their footing on the T side, eight rounds were all Casper "cadiaN" Møller's troops could muster.
Astralis fared even worse on their Ancient pick. They needed eight rounds to finally get on the board after tallying a total of five kills in the first seven and ended the half 3-9 down.
Losing the second pistol round then proved to be the final nail in the Astralis coffin, as they petered out in a 9-13 loss to drop down to the 1-2 pool.
Apogee enter tier-one scene with a bang
Betclic's PGL Bucharest qualification was already a surprise, but their results in Romania prove they belong among tier-one competition.
Two 2-0 wins against The MongolZ and Astralis have now put them one win away from the playoffs, with Milan "hypex" Polowiec (1.15 rating) and young prodigy Jakub "jcobbb" Pietruszewski (1.14) leading the way for the Polish team.
Astralis show worrying form ahead of MRQ
Much has been said about Astralis missing the last four Majors, and their form ahead of the MRQ makes five in a row a real possibility.
While they aren't out of contention in Romania yet, alarm bells are undoubtedly starting to ring despite Nicolai "device" Reedtz's upbeat perspective after Monday's loss to 3DMAX.

"We're 1-1 in the Swiss stage, it's probably still fine," he told HLTV. "Some of the other teams here are probably feeling a little bit worse."
After their second loss in the Swiss System, Astralis now need to be flawless if they wish to progress to the playoffs.
