Liquid go 0-6 in siuhy's debut to exit Bucharest in last place
The MongolZ consigned Liquid to a 0-3 exit after punishing several mistakes across Mirage and Anubis.

Liquid have been sent packing from PGL Bucharest in last place with a 0-3 record, their debut tournament with Kamil "siuhy" Szkaradek brought to a miserable end following a 0-2 defeat to The MongolZ.
Limited practice with their new captain, who was announced just two days before the event, absolves Liquid of much criticism, but it's clear there is much work to be done to get siuhy integrated into the lineup and his system running.
Liquid couldn't tally a map win in their tournament run, dropping series to Legacy and Virtus.pro ahead of their loss to The MongolZ. Each of the series had one close map and another that was one-sided, with this elimination game starting off with a 13-11 win for The MongolZ.
Garidmagnai "bLitz" Byambasuren's side were one of the sure-favorites to win the event upon arriving in Bucharest, but suffered an early trip to the 0-2 elimination pool after a narrow defeat to 3DMAX and a shock upset loss to Betclic.
They looked more like themselves against Liquid despite a slow start on Mirage, going down 2-6 despite winning the pistol and conversion before recovering to post five at the break. Liquid couldn't get much going in the second half, winning the pistol and conversion but failing to string wins together with a haphazard defense.
That allowed The MongolZ to edge out victory on their pick in regulation, and Azbayar "Senzu" Munkhbold ensured that momentum carried into Anubis.
He combined with Ayush "mzinho" Batbold and Sodbayar "Techno" Munkhbold to punish several sloppy mistakes and early aggressive pushes from Liquid, and Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken's best efforts weren't enough to pull the deficit back in the second half after an mzinho quad-kill halted a brief comeback effort.
NAF has the second-worst event of his career
It wasn't the start to life Liquid would have wanted with siuhy, but now they'll at least have some time to clean up their mistakes and get some proper practice before heading to IEM Melbourne, slated to kick off on April 21.
During that time, Keith "NAF" Markovic will need to find a way through the slump he's been in since the year started, with PGL Bucharest being his third consecutive event in the red.

The Canadian's role clash and positional overlaps with Justin "jks" Savage offered some excuse for the dismal performances in 2025, but with the Australian out, NAF couldn't immediately turn his trajectory around.
He ended PGL Bucharest with a 0.69 rating, the second-worst event of his career after his debut for Liquid at MLG X Games Aspen 2015 (0.58 rating 1.0). He showed uncharacteristic, visible frustration after rounds, clearly unhappy with his performance, and can only hope to turn it around over the next two weeks.
