Complexity, M80 pull out of Fragadelphia Vegas*

Scheduling conflicts with IEM Melbourne and hallzerk being unable to attend the event were cited as reasons for the withdrawal.

Update 00:29 : M80 have also withdrawn from the event after running into unexpected delays with Fritz "⁠slaxz-⁠" Dietrich's visa, as first reported by Dust2.us. A representative from the organization said their priority is to make sure the German AWPer's visa is in place for the BLAST.tv Austin Major.

Complexity have withdrawn from Fragadelphia's next event in Las Vegas, scheduled for April 25-27 as part of LVL UP EXPO. Ninjas in Pyjamas, NRG, and Sharks are among some of the notable names on the list of registered teams.

Graham "⁠messioso⁠" Pitt, Complexity's General Manager, revealed the news on Mike "⁠DarfMike⁠" Winnick's co-stream of the North America MRQ, citing scheduling conflicts with IEM Melbourne as the reason. Dust2.us was first to pick up the story.

messioso added that Håkon "⁠hallzerk⁠" Fjærli would have been unable to attend Fragadelphia and the team would have needed a stand-in, which is a larger source of concern with the BLAST.tv Austin Major looming.

The Norwegian missed IEM Dallas 2023 due to visa issues and has often struggled to join the team in the United States, although he did attend IEM Dallas 2024.

Complexity were not originally invited to IEM Melbourne, which will run from April 20-27, but were given the opportunity to attend after Spirit withdrew due to health issues.

"I felt really bad actually, because I would really love to go to Frag and support that event, I think it's really worthwhile," messioso said. "Obviously, we were in a position where we were getting a lot out of it ourselves as well, so it wasn't completely us being the benevolent, 'Oh yes we'll attend for the [altruism],' it wasn't like that.

"But now we've got four wins from Bucharest, obviously our VRS is extremely different to how it was prior to that. And I think we have to prioritize Melbourne because one, hallzerk couldn't go to Frag so we would've had to have a sub which meant we wouldn't have been at full force, and two, it's the value we'd get from Melbourne."
