The organization is set to announce their new coach "soon."

Virtus.pro have announced the departure of Pavel "⁠PASHANOJ⁠" Legostaev hours after the team was eliminated from IEM Melbourne by FlyQuest.

The 30-year-old joined the team as an analyst and was promoted to the head coach role in September to replace Andrey "⁠Xoma⁠" Mironenko, who departed the team after a brief three-month stint.

Virtus.pro replace Xoma with PASHANOJ

Under PASHANOJ's leadership, the team qualified for the Shanghai Major and reached the playoffs at IEM Katowice, but a string of underwhelming results pushed the organization into a change.

"The past few weeks have shown that the team needs a new coaching perspective, especially with our goals for the upcoming season in mind," Nikolai Petrossian, CEO of Virtus.pro, said.

"Pavel fulfilled his responsibilities and supported the team during a transitional phase, but further progress now requires a different approach."

Virtus.pro's next tournament will be PGL Astana, set to begin on May 10.

I think this team would be really good with good IGL who knows where to set up his players and utilize them with proper tactic. VP seems sadly like typical russian faceit lobby showing up sometimes with good aimbut lacks proper tactics especially in mid rounds calling.

Which on average is better than Electronic. 0.97 Fl4mus vs 0.9 Electronic in the last 3 months. Electronic rating wise is closer to karrigan and Snax than to Fl4mus for that period.

Depends. First of all, he's Electronic, the one that definitely at some point was in the conversation of being the best rifler. And suddenly all the players are playing worse than they did under previous IGLs in their teams, then whose fault is that? That tells me someone utilizes the players wrong or can't build a system that would use strenghts of those players. Like, we can clown on C9 and GL all we want, but I highly doubt they would lose 2-0 to FlyQuest. Would they lose? It's possible, sure. But not like that. And that's FlyQuest who recently changed IGL as well, btw. Somehow top 26 team with new IGL and new system beast top 10 team 2-0 (the fact that VP is still top 10 baffles me, tbh. They should be somewhere around Liquid-Furia range imo) And lastly, not all IGLs completely suck individually, even in tier-1 teams. Apex currently has uncharacteristic for him, sure, but 1.04. Chopper has better rating, and that 0.95 is on the worse side for him. Brollan is probably comparable to Electronic, meaning that he was fragging rifler before going IGL, doesn't really have "stars" and so on. Except Mouz actually show really good results, so at least it's working out for them.

That's hilarious. I love people in the X comments stating WorldEdit stats, while disregarding the truth of it. Electronic didn't really have to think for himself that much throughout his career. Yes, he had to manage his own peeks/aggro moves, which is completely different than playing 3D chess which is being an IGL.
