Liquid make first arena of 2025 with NAVI win
siuhy is making an impact on Liquid despite their last-placed finish in Bucharest on debut.

Liquid have made their first playoffs with Kamil "siuhy" Szkaradek by defeating Natus Vincere in the final game of Melbourne's group stage.
The team's last arena was at the Shanghai Major, and they had only made playoffs once in three attempts before travelling to Australia.
It was a messy series in parts, summed up by a string of rounds where Keith "NAF" Markovic team-killed Roland "ultimate" Tomkowiak only for the Canadian to spare the Pole's blushes in the clutch after the team's AWPer whiffed his entire five-bullet magazine.
But when the dust settled it was Liquid who emerged kings of the ashes, thanks to a convincing conversion of Anubis and a 7-1 start on the chaotic decider of Ancient.
Validation for siuhy after Bucharest disaster
The big story for siuhy's arrival to Liquid was if he could fix their T sides.
In Bucharest, the team went out 0-3 but Melbourne is a fairer time to assess their progress. And, on the surface, it looks good: The team end the group stage with a 58.1% T side win-rate, the third-best in the tournament.
siuhy also ended the Ancient decider with 97 ADR —- he has earned his ticket to the arena with his hands and his head.

Mirage ban shows the state of NAVI in 2025
Every Natus Vincere match in Melbourne went to three maps, needing deciders versus underdogs MIBR and FlyQuest and crumbling versus Falcons and Liquid.
They were 11-3 up versus Falcons on map two of that series only to go on to lose it, and any momentum they wanted from a 11-1 half here against Liquid on Inferno disappeared as they struggled before eventually closing it 13-10.

The team's drop off since 2024 is best symbolized by the veto. Liquid are 0-4 on Mirage with siuhy, and it used to be Natus Vincere's home map — but it was NAVI who banned it first.
They have lost twice on it in Australia, the choke versus Falcons and a loss versus FlyQuest this morning, but it is still a sign of the times that NAVI felt the need to remove what is still their most-picked map this year at 68.4%.
