hades: "I just want to show that I'm good enough for tier one"
The Polish AWPer hopes his stand-in stint with G2 will give him a route back to the top.

Olek "hades" Miskiewicz came into G2 as a short-term replacement for the outgoing Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov, but his debut event has been far from smooth sailing.
Nemanja "huNter-" Kovač's visa issues mean the team is forced to play with their coach Wiktor "TaZ" Wojtas, but G2 have done well despite that. They recovered from opening losses to MIBR and ODDIK by beating M80 and BIG to move one win away from the playoffs.
After the win against the German side, hades spoke to HLTV about the tournament so far, his wish to return to tier-one, and his love for in-game leading.
You started 0-2 at PGL Astana, now you're 2-2. In a way, even though you're playing with a coach, you've found your groove now. Do you feel that as well?
We've made a lot of silly mistakes in the first two games. I feel we could have, we should have won both of them, but it is what it is. We finally fixed a lot of things, and yeah, so far it's getting better.
You're back at the tier-one LAN. How have you found being on the team, being back in a LAN environment?
Being on the team is really good, all the guys are super nice, and it's really fun to play. I haven't found the game I want yet, I've been doing a lot of stupid shit, some small mistakes, but I feel like I'm getting back slowly and I think it will get better.
When you signed with G2, this was probably not how you wanted your first event to go. Are you taking it as a bit of practice to get to know the guys, stuff like this?
Yes and no. You always want to do as well as you can, you want to win every event, so it's a bit unlucky we have to play with TaZ. But he's finding his shape [smiles], so we still have a chance, and maybe Nema [huNter-] will get his visa, so we'll see.
It was announced that you will play only three events with G2. Does it suck that the first one is like this, where you can't really show your true game?
It kind of sucks, but you know, you have only three chances, so you have to make the best out of every game, every tournament, so it is what it is.
It's a short-term move, so what are you hoping to get from it? Do you want it to put you in the shop window for other teams? Are you still playing for a permanent spot in the team despite all the rumors?
You never know what's going to happen, right? I just want to play the best I can and show my best side, so if G2 does something that goes the other way, let's say, I still have options. I just want to show that I'm good enough for tier one.
Do you think you have enough time to show that? Because it's just three events, as I said.
I think if I show that I can bring a team up… It's a good enough sample to show that I can play, I would say like this.
I feel like there's currently not a lot of AWPers on the market, a lot of people are still struggling with CS2. Do you think that gives you a bigger chance to return?
I think the AWP in CS2 is much different. You can't trust any angles anymore, so you have to play less on feeling and more on something you know. I think the market is pretty rough right now with AWPers, so we'll see.
In your last few teams, you were also the IGL. If this G2 move doesn't work out, is that something that you would be willing to return to? Did you enjoy it?
I enjoyed it. When you have a team with good vibes and listens to you, everything goes smoothly. In my past teams, T sides were usually good, it was more of the CT side where we had problems. It was something I enjoyed and something I may do again in the future.
