The Brazilian rifler will take the place of rain, who is awaiting the birth of his second child.

FaZe are set to start their IEM Dallas campaign with Felipe "⁠skullz⁠" Medeiros playing in place of Håvard "⁠rain⁠" Nygaard. The Brazilian rifler attended the IEM Dallas media day with the squad.

FaZe had already announced weeks ago that rain may miss the event due to "personal reasons," with rain later clarifying that his wife was 39 weeks pregnant and he needed "to be home to take care of the family."

The news comes as a blow to a FaZe side that will already be fielding a debutant in Dallas, with Oleksandr "⁠s1mple⁠" Kostyliev set to make his first appearance in the black and red jersey following his blockbuster loan move.

s1mple joins FaZe on loan ahead of Austin Major

skullz and s1mple will play their first game for FaZe against Liquid, meaning both players are facing off against an organization they have represented in the past.
